By accessing or using the services provided by Teresa @ TJM Teaches through the website www.tjmteaches.com or any other means, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using the services.

 

1. SERVICES

1.1. Teresa @ TJM Teaches provides private educational services online, specialising in Bass Guitar and Music Technology.

1.2. Services can range from a single booking to a series of lessons, which can be purchased to be used within a time period stated on the services.

1.3. Lessons are conducted remotely, subject to mutual agreement on scheduling and availability.

1.4. Teresa @ TJM Teaches is an independent contractor and has undergone necessary background checks.

1.5. Teresa @ TJM Teaches is committed to delivering tailored instruction to meet individual needs.

1.6. All performance inquiries and bookings are subject to individual agreements made at the time of booking.

1.7. Booking of services through any channel including the website, social media, in person, or via email constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1.8. Teresa @ TJM Teaches reserves the right to refuse performance or teaching services to any client.

 

2. LESSONS

2.1. Lessons are typically scheduled throughout the year, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and preferences.

2.2. Lessons take place via an agreed online platform.

2.3. Scheduling is done on a weekly basis, with consideration given to the availability of both parties.

2.4. Progress updates may be provided periodically.

2.5. Recommendations for additional examinations or assessments may be offered, with separate fees applicable.

2.6. In the event of unavailability, arrangements may be made for substitute instructors.

2.7. Additional lessons may be arranged as needed.

 

3. RESOURCES

3.1. Shared online resources facilitate progress tracking and access to educational materials.

3.2. Backups of work are securely stored and shared as necessary.

 

4. PAYMENT

4.1. Fees are outlined in the agreement and are payable in advance of lessons.

4.2. Invoices are issued according to the agreed billing cycle.

4.3. Missed lessons may still incur charges.

4.4. Contingencies are in place to reschedule missed sessions due to Teresa @ TJM Teaches' unavailability.

 

5. CANCELLATION AND NOTICE

5.1. Notice of cancellation for an individual online lesson must be provided at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson time. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in charges equivalent to the cost of the cancelled lesson.

5.2. If Teresa @ TJM Teaches is unavailable due to unexpected circumstances, the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time for both parties.

5.3. Notifications regarding tuition rates and terms are provided annually, with updates in April and will commence the following September.

 

6. ADDITIONAL TERMS

6.1. Any advice provided by Teresa @ TJM Teaches is non-medical. Clients are responsible for consulting qualified medical professionals for any health concerns.

6.2. Teresa @ TJM Teaches is fully insured by Insure4Music (Underwritten by Aviva).

6.3. Online sessions are subject to the same Terms and Conditions as in-person sessions.

6.4. Teresa @ TJM Teaches holds a valid Enhanced DBS and receives yearly Safeguarding Training.

6.5. Teresa @ TJM Teaches may utilise Google Drive and or iCloud for the purpose of sharing and storing lesson materials and related work. By participating in lessons, clients consent to the use of Google Drive for such purposes.

6.6. If parents or guardians grant permission for their children to be photographed, filmed, or recorded during lessons for educational or promotional purposes, they are required to check the box provided when signing up.

6.7. It is the responsibility of the client to regularly check for updates to these Terms and Conditions. Failure to do so does not exempt the client from their obligations outlined herein.
